Microsoft’s Popfly

A really great resource from Microsoft.  I am not a huge fan of them, but this is one worth looking into.  Easy build web pages and mashups.  It took me about five minutes to download, install a simple application “Silverlight” create and account and log in and then run the web based application.  http://www.popfly.ms/users/ccapozzoli/IT%20On%20The%20Fly   Here is what I did in about 2 minutes.  Simple styles, themes, layouts, designs and more.  There are demo tutorials videos to watch many tutorial help throughout.  I will be sharing this with my Tech Ed. people and students at the high school levels.  I would imagine that they would enjoy building and creating 24/7.   I am going to teach some of my high school students how to use the tool and pilot it for me.

Posted in Educational Tech. by ccapozzoli on the December 3, 2007

This is a really cool tool!! I happened to stumble upon it on the Web 2.0 Directory.  It’s called gifup.  You can upload or use flickr photos for this.  Create an animated gif to embed anywhere!!! http://www.gifup.com/ It’s really easy to use.  Have your students create a photo montage of places they have been or locations found in Google Earth.  They will love it.
